Kristin Bauer Instagram – In my family two children have died. You never really recover. I am actually so shocked and saddened that this needs to be said…. But here it goes -please forgive me as I’m sure I’ll get it wrong – can we stand up for all children everywhere all at once, even in the most extreme complexity? Can we want the hostages home and also want children fed. Can we believe children dying on October 7th in Israel in columbine in Auschwitz in Palestine in Africa in India in Ukraine and Russia or ANYWHERE ….is an unspeakably heart breaking occurrence. There is plenty of room in our hearts and our minds to wish for a world where children and adults and animals don’t die in conflict and wars, especially those who are bystanders and have no say. Maybe We can hold space for this impossible dream??? I am confused that even this vision could be polarized. Don’t polarize me and my posts! I make no comment on anything that much smarter people than I are also impotent to change or even understand, much less agree upon actually or solve for the last 8 decades and since the beginning of time actually. I have zero answers but I do have concern for the children of the world in all countries. My repost of this is in no way against anything or for anyone beyond the children and that is it! ALL children! I have no idea on Gods earth how that could in any way be something we can all not agree upon. 😢 I’m having to say this as I’m being attacked mercilessly, even by a close friend, who I would have thought knew me better. I probably can’t do any good here and may just be attacked further but how does one stand by and not say….can we protect 78,000 infants? Is that possible? Is it? Does it help to have any discourse???
