Kristin Bauer Instagram – I listed to this incredible book on @audible – #benjaminferencz was 103 when he died last year, he was Jewish, a WW2 veteran and was the prosecuting attorney in the Nuremberg trials where 21 of the most important surviving Nazi leaders and six German organizations were tried for plotting and carrying out invasions of other countries across Europe and atrocities against their citizens in World War II. 75 MILLION people died. I can’t recommend this book enough. It is his last words to us. He believed that the atrocities will continue until man is able to resolve conflict NOT BY FORCE but by communication and legal discourse. We can say, “oh that’ll never happen!” ….oh it will. Either now or after WW3. And Benjamin LIVED IT! He was a living example and embodiment of a more evolved way of being. And he was happy and healthy and sharp as a tack until his dying day, and had the greatest romance and love anyone could wish for. It’s a book I will return to over and over. The audible version is wonderful. It seems we have not learned from the unthinkable atrocities that have occurred on earth over and over. The largest genocide in history was of Native Americans – 250 MILLION dead. History repeats until we listen and learn from those wiser than we.
