shot by my beautiful friend @karimiliya we spent 6 days with this incredible baby calf while his mother underneath trusted us while she slept. she would come up to breathe every 15-20 min and towards the end of our journey with them she decided to play as well. which is not normal for a mother to play when nursing. i’d like to believe that maybe there is a fragment of truth that she really enjoyed our company and needed some fun too. anyone that knows me knows that i have deep love for whales and dolphins. i’d travel anywhere to be with them even for a minute of their time. this trip was by far my most meaningful yet. 6 days of mom and baby and at times their escort (whale sitter) who ended up warming up to us eventually. we respect these beings tremendously. being so close to them you understand their unspoken immeasurable love and grace. their intelligence. our ascendant masters. so much to learn from them. months ahead to digest our telepathic connection. their eyeballs penetrating your soul in places inside you, you didn’t even know you had. karim forever grateful to you and our friendship 🐳❤️🐋

This is Pamplemousse (Pomelo / grapefruit). We spend so much time with this whale we had to name it. Over thr course of the season, we got to know and spend almost 25 hours this specific whale. Can you make friends with a whale? I know I did. 💙🐋

This was one of the craziest days where we played with a mother, her calf, and an escort (3rd humpback who hang around). I’ve never seen a mother rolling around and playing with her calf and swimming over to us to play. Whales are very intelligent and dynamic creatures with different moods and personalities
