Lynn Toler Instagram – I swear Eric’s ghost spends all day looking for appliances to break. I think he’s proving to me I can handle things. A second air conditioner has joined the washer dryer, four toilets, the other air conditioner,the sliding glass door, the busted hot water heater (along with the corner of the garage it took out) broken bed, ceiling leak, irrigation issues and the internet all of whom have been replaced or repaired in the last 14 months. The refrigerator has a red light on and won’t make ice. Bitch is just staring at me falling apart in slow motion, enjoying itself as it inches me, yet again, back to the appliance store. I swear those people do everything but dance when they see me. Of course I know the cascading appliance issue is probably due to the fact the house was built in 2014 and all the appliances are the same age. They tend to sync up as they fall apart. It’s built in obsolescence if you ask me. I have an electric pencil sharpener from the mid 1950’s that works beautifully still. And yea I know it’s a much simpler machine. The more a thing can do the easier it breaks. I’m not sure how I got here from them trying to throw her in a pool. I have been quite obsessed with nuance and context lately. My point may be that there are usually a number of reasons any one thing happens. Some you see some you weren’t privy to. Before one becomes full throated in anger at something one sees on line you have to go past the posts and the goggle searches and pick up a book or two. Everything looks simple if you don’t understand it well. I’m reading a couple of books on the Dunning-Krueger effect. I think it’s part of the reason I don’t leave the house much anymore. Relevant #Tolerism: When you get a dollar’s worth of opinion out of ten cents of information you have borrowed 90 cents of Probably Wrong that bears incredible interest. Lynn Toler Instagram – My #hair is crazy. Picture’s dark. Had on my husband’s old tee shirt. I am also surrounded by family. Sons 5 and 6 bookending me and my sister in law! She was here for one hour, looked at me and said “You have too many doors open” She was not talking about the house. She was talking about my head. Ain’t nothing like having a woman your age who gets you and ain’t afraid to tell exactly what she sees. #family #familyiseverything
