Time for slow cooking on the weekend using every le creuset pot I own and maximising what I have to hand to feed friends and have lots left over to make into other dishes for times i’m away. I found cooking so much at once a great sense of achievement and the aromas of the kitchen wonderfully powerful.
My youngest granddaughter (who is 9) loves helping and picked windfall quinces (After checking that chooks had enough feed and water and collecting eggs) I emptied the freezer of assortment of secondary cuts of lamb from last years stock with loads of onion garlic rosemary’ bay leaves, cinnamon, cumin and stock
Simple beautiful dish that ‘cooked itself’ over hours at low temperature A favourite way of cooking now the weather is cooler.
