Something did switch in my mind in the last couple of years. I know now how to stand my ground while being kind, I know now not to put myself down in order to be polite, I know now that grace is something that you can choose to embody and it is independent of the situations and people outside of you. I know now that words are always spoken and written, But the action that follows is what makes life, life. It has taken twenty seven years for me to find my voice, And it is only developing. As it does continue taking different shapes and forms, I hope when someone chances upon it, It always exists as a reminder that the world is a kind, good place – A place where love and empathy always finds its way. m.
