Nell Hudson Instagram – Hi all. Bit of self-promotion here – cue the urge to apologise – cue me fighting that urge with all my might – If you are interested in culture, feminism, mental health and just sort of this complicated life in general I think you might like my Substack material. If you are more of a listener than a reader the pieces are also available as audio read by me. It’s been free to read for the last six months, and some of it still is, but I have decided to paywall other bits for the following reasons:
1) Some of the content is very sensitive and personal.
2) it’s the price of a cup of coffee and I think it’ll give you the same amount of satisfaction.
3) When I was doing volunteer work a few years ago, a wise friend said to me “ask for some kind of payment, however small, not because you need it but because it teaches others how to value you.” I want to value myself. In fact, I think I really need to in order to keep going.
4) the stuff I’m writing about really matters to me.
