Before, I would place my desires and needs last always making sure others were served first … Ondine has taught me that I MUST take care of myself first because if I don’t everyone will be effected. I can’t mother her to my fullest if I’m not feelings secure and stable. I can’t love on her and be present if I haven’t poured love on myself first. She also learns from my behavior and my actions not just my words. She sees that I care about my well-being and it teaches her that being a woman and mother doesn’t mean sacrificing who you are and what you need.
