You would resonate with the fact that Sundays have become very special.
Appreciation post to all the working professionals who dedicate their weekend/ holiday to their hobbies .
To enter spaces for self is an act of self love/care and moving your body with bellydance vocabulary is healing and therapeutic in more ways than one .
Shimmies are one of the most powerful technique for RELEASE.
Few pointers to keep in my mind can help you in your journey with shimmy , remember :
1. It takes time .
2. There are good days and not so good days when it comes to shimmies.
Enter, practice and exit . Without judging yourself .
3. Every body is different so understand how your body relaxes, responds and visually looks when you do this technique . Find what fits right with your body .
4. It is PURE EFFORT.
5. Your body needs good conditioning/strengthening to give powerful shimmies .
6. Understand how the body functions (anatomy wise ) with the different types shimmies.
7. BREATHE it fuels your body for sustaining shimmies and make it look relaxed.
8. Feel that jiggle FEEL IT , if you are not feeling it in your flesh you are missing out on one of the best feelings.
9. Hold your lower center and feel the connection with the earth . Push into the floor for strong anchoring .
10. Hold your upper centre so that the lower body is free of the upper body weight . Huge difference .
11. Fall in love first so that all the drills don’t feel like work .
