Exactly on this day, a decade back.. my first feature film ‘Children of War’ was released. I was seen on the ‘Silver Screen’ by you, the audience, for the very first time.. It was also the first time I saw myself on a movie poster.. It was the first time I was seen/ mentioned in a newspaper / magazine.. It was the first time film critics praised my work in their reviews These small, little things I hoped for as a kid, were turning into reality.. My family, friends entered a theatre to see me on that big screen.. for the very first time .. Those smiles, teary eyes – full of pride, those tighttt hugs.. will be cherished for life.. One of those milestones in life that just stay with you.. ☺️ Thought of sharing this with you. #happy10 #worthsharing #downthememorylane #gratitude #celebrating10years of my on screen journey

Not Today is the film that has taken the longest time to reach its own country. When Anurag Kashyap had shown us Black Friday at ftii in 2004, and spoke about it being banned, we could empathise. But no one ever thinks bad things will really happen to them. And so one would’ve never imagined that one’s most important film, will still remain unreleased for its own country for 4 years. It’s impossible to explain this pain to anyone. And so we hide it deep within. Quietly. And I do hope, the Indian audience for whom it was made, gets to see this soon. 🤞🏾❤️🩹. In large numbers. A big big thank you any hug for everyone who’s helped us come this far. This feeling of us being a cinematic community is the most beautiful thing to feel. And we must continue to foster it. This is exactly what the film says , that we are not alone. And we have to just reach out and feel that connectedness. To everyone who loves cinema and shoulders what they feel is good and important, thank you. Continue what you do. It’s very very important. ❤️
