He wrote the movie, I directed it and together we all 200 (or more) of us, got together and made it. Matt Greenhalgh also wrote my first film Nowhere Boy, he’s a legend and he writes with an emotional elegance that has us all with tear stained pages. We’re celebrating International Women’s Day on our production of Back To Black where 100% of our heads of department are women. Director, Producers, Cinematographer, Costume, Makeup, Production Design, Editor and Script Supervisor. Only a tiny percentage of film directors are women. Let’s keep smashing through all the glass ceilings. We are all here to honor the legend, Amy Winehouse. ♥️
