A handful of glimpses from The Burning Season, a project and experience I’ve loved. Some of us are in Glasgow with the film this weekend, and there’s a Toronto screening coming up soon as well. Directed by @seangarrityfilm, written by Jonas Chernick and @dfrances39.

As Sweetland begins its theatre run tomorrow in St. John’s and Halifax, here are a few still lifes from a true highlight of my working life. Every now and then there’s one that warrants imploring – and this film is so dear to me. It’d be appreciated beyond if you could see it, if you’re in Newfoundland or one of the other Canadian cities screening it.
Directed by @christiansparkes
Produced by @sarafostpictures
Starring @marklewisjones64

To make this film, Kill Victoria, with my friend @robindunne and get to collide with @lauravandervoort, @gia_sandhu, @aaronsghost and Michael Xavier as a cast of incredible actors and buddies to boot.. well, lucky me. Here’s a still from our fantastic cinematographer, @justinyaroski. The film premiered last night at @kingcanfilmfest and screens tonight in Toronto!
“The stunning views of the ocean, phenomenal acting by Lewis Jones and loyalty to the book’s heartbreaking story meant the movie remained true to the book.” – The Dalhousie Gazette
