He came to us 4 years ago on my birthday as my birthday gift and he’s the best gift anyone could ever receive. My third baby #Simba, he was the bright spot in an otherwise dark world during Covid.
I believe kids choose their parents, Simba chose us and we couldn’t have been luckier. With his soulful eyes filled with wisdom and a face of a baby he blessed us with so much love. We were destined to be his parents filling us with unconditional abundant love, licks, snuggles, kisses and of course hair. Like you can’t put in words what you feel for your kids I can’t explain well enough what I feel for him. All I can say is our day starts and ends with him, he’s added soooo much happiness in our life. He’s just THUTHUTHUTHUTHUTHU

There are certain moments/holidays which are near to perfect.
This one is one such. It’s been organic, raw, authentic old world, not just the place but the unadulterated people with genuine niceness. We are in @marybuddenestate in Binsar. The nature, surrounding these quaint lodges/cottages are all one with each other. The pure air, dense yet welcoming forests, the chirping of the birds, the warmth of a fire place, the age old stone like old dog eared books with yellowing pages lying all around and the satiation that comes with being pampered with great food and love by this wonderful wonderful team. All simple, rooted, ever smiling people aiming to make each and every moment special. And Sunanda curating everything as though she knows exactly what would make us happy.
This time has been about doing nothing. Relaxing in the open air surrounded by mountains and valleys. Feet tucked under warm throws, with ever flowing tea and coffee, books books and more books scattered wherever your eyes could see. Painting, reading, walking in the jungle, the air sooooo clean it almost stings your nostrils, Kumaoni food that is so authentic and abundant accentuating the greed rather than satisfying it. And my most favourite… 4 beautiful beautiful fur babies. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Sisterhood/mutual love and respect/encouraging and cheering for each other is all very good but I don’t exactly love women with great hair!!! Sorry, but I just can’t seem to find anything in common with them. Whoever has not had a bad hair day, hasn’t truly experienced life’s ups and downs!!! But I have, up down sideways and whichever way possible. I am efficient at recognising a stray, unruly strand, that has escaped the attempt of an over haul… and hence, I recognise almost every woman tied together in sisterhood not by the umbilical cord but by the ‘was hair now gone there’ syndrome!!!
I have been through a roller coaster of a life being born with a bad hair day that’s panned over 50 years… I think it’s worse than chumming, pms, hysterectomy, menopause!!! It’s a natural disaster, very high on the Richter scale!!! Waking up to yourself with a bad hair day is like beauty, waking up in bed with the beast… I know deep inside, I am a beauty, atleast potentially so, but the beast on my head has a mind of its own. Each hair decides to move in opposite direction, some against gravity, all wiry, some like the line on an ecg report of a patient in cardiac arrest, some like a telephone cord and some, like mine, which just look electrocuted! So once on a set, before an angel called the hairstylist had touched my hair with her magic wand, the director met me, looked at me solemnly and honestly said ‘you look like a hobo’ I kept dancing all day thinking she had called me ‘Boho’, Until someone burst the bubble and told me ‘Hobo’, homeless bum!!!
See that’s what I mean, when I have a bad hair day, not only do I look like a disaster, but I feel like one too and the meaning of disaster and divine gets entangled in this unruly mess.
Curling and churning like Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ my hair is untameable, is that even a word… well it should be,an adjective to describe wild women, with wild spirits, and even wilder hair.
This is @ashandsimba ‘s version of me cheating on them.
Thank you @suryagarh @prpundit @gaurikohli @grovmehak and the entire team of @suryagarh for hosting me and making my stay very special. And a special thanks to @kripalinisingh for all the love and care showered on me. I had the most amazing time and the credit goes to all of you for making this experience memorable.
