Sheryl Crow Instagram – I get sad, too, Elmo. But you are never ever alone. ❤️

(This song, “You Can’t Change The Weather” is coming 3/29 on “Evolution”. Seemed too perfect for this conversation not to share a snippet!) #mentalhealth #emotionalwellbeing
Sheryl Crow Instagram – NEW SONG! Evolution conveys my uneasiness about artificial intelligence, its impact on the planet and the human race. Stephen Hawking worried that A.I. would replace humans. As a mom, I want to leave a better world for my children, a healthier planet – is A.I. going to be a benevolent partner in these goals or not? It’s unsettling, and this song deals with those anxieties.

I wrote the song with just me on guitar and vocals, sent it to Mike Elizondo (who produced it) and said, this is bigger than me, can you take a crack at it? He brought it into new sonic territory, it sounds cinematic. Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello guests on this song – to me, his playing comes from some other planet. It’s a cool bit of kismet that we were both inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. His solo on “Evolution” just ejects you into space.

Hope you like it! Links to listen in bio and story.
