Sheryl Sandberg Instagram – Tonight is the first night of Passover – a special night for @tom_bernthal and me and our family and friends. Passover honors the story of Exodus, when the Jewish people escaped slavery in Egypt. It’s a tale of hardship and survival and of exile and return. It’s retold at the Passover table to teach each new generation about the bittersweet history of oppression and freedom for Jews across the globe. As my parents did when I was growing up, Tom and I will talk to our children about how ending slavery and repression of anyone anywhere is the responsibility of everyone everywhere. This lesson is even more poignant for us this year. May this Passover help us reflect on our shared humanity. And may our prayers for deep and abiding peace be answered. Chag sameach.
