Sheryl Sandberg Instagram – One year ago today, I christened Massachusetts — taking part in a ceremony that goes back centuries to bring good luck and safe travels to this ship and her crew. Over the last year, Massachusetts has hit milestone after milestone. It was awarded the @usnavy Battle Effectiveness Award for 2023, which recognizes the highest level of naval readiness. The ship took to the water for the first time in February. And every day, our incredible crew — led by Commander Michael Siedsma (@swimbikerunsubmerge) — has courageously shown up to serve our country.
