Just like that, we’re back on pointe!
It’s taken a lot to get me to this moment and I’m so happy with the progress I’ve made to help get me back in rehearsals tomorrow
Here’s what we did to get me back on pointe:
1) Toe taps
2) Stretching and feeling the arch of the foot on the ball
3) Rocking and walking while sitting on the yoga ball to increase range of pointe
4) Going on pointe on the reformer with springs to slowly add weight
5) On pointe with full body weight!

Class is back in session!
As you can tell, Craig and I have no fun in the studio 😉 The hardest part about coming back from an injury is being patient and trying to let go of judgements. Craig is definitely key to helping me keep my frustrations at bay. Do I wish my foot had its full range, that I was in a crossed fifth, and that I could use my full turnout right away? Yes, of course. But I have to be happy with where I am at the moment. This was one of my first classes back, and right now, I am putting in the work, getting my whole body used to moving again and with no pain, so am very grateful for that 😊 onwards and upwards!
