Yaeji Instagram – With A Hammer was the first demo i wrote that marked the beginning of this album. the birth of my anger.
i remember being fatigued from fake news and real life when i wrote this.
the drum sounds mimicked a comical hammer smash, like one of those plastic ones u get at an amusement park. boink!
my vocal delivery felt dry.. suppressed, effortless, maybe a little weak even ? but the lyrics were powerful. masculine.
and the contrast of these tensioning feelings is what defined my anger at the time.
“진짜 화가나 못참겠다 생각했어. 진짜 화가나 주먹부터 나가겠어”
