Republicans say it’s “unprecedented” to bring charges against a former President. You’re damn right it is. An unprecedented lack of morality and just plain criminality, begets an unprecedented response.
To my Republican colleagues who introduced this sham resolution: You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood. Your words tell me that I have been effective in the defense of our democracy, and I am grateful.
Republicans claim Biden and DOJ “weaponized” the Manhattan DA’s office against Donald Trump. That’s a lie. Here are the facts:
Guilty. Today, twelve ordinary American citizens found a former president guilty of dozens of felonies. Despite his efforts to distract, delay, and deny – justice arrived for Donald Trump all the same. And the rule of law prevailed.
Seeking to prosecute those who uphold the rule of law is just what a dictator would do. On day one. And every day thereafter.
Those who seek to discredit Attorney General Garland certainly bring contempt. But only upon themselves.
My Republican colleagues will support Donald Trump no matter what he does. No matter how violent. No matter how destructive. They will always have his back. Because they are simply too scared and too weak to do otherwise.
Today, the House passed my bill to rename a Glendale Post Office after a true hero — former Secretary of the Navy Paul Ignatius. The son of Armenian immigrants, Paul served his nation bravely as an ordinance officer during World War II and rose to become the highest-ranking Armenian-American in the U.S. government to this day, serving as the 59th U.S. Secretary of the Navy. This remarkable journey from the son of immigrants to a high-ranking presidential appointee is a path only possible here – a dream that is uniquely American. At 103 years young, he continues to inspire our communities in Glendale and beyond.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there — especially my wife Eve. Smart, caring, beautiful and bold, our kids are so fortunate to call you mom.
House Republicans know that Joe Biden and the Justice Department had nothing to do with Trump’s conviction in NY. But they are willing to tear down the whole house to serve their soon-to-be nominee, a convicted felon.
Today I spoke on the House floor to honor the life and legacy of my friend and mentor, fmr. State Sen. Alan Sieroty. He was a champion for California and a role model for so many. May his memory be a blessing.
Commemorating the 109th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide yesterday at Glendale City Hall. The Armenian diaspora here is one of the largest in the world — and an incredible testament to the resilience and strength of the Armenian people and culture.

Breaking ground at the new West Los Angeles VA Homeless Veterans Housing site today. This incredible project will become a hub of housing, activity, and community for veterans who might otherwise go without shelter and health services.

California is home to some of the most unique public lands in the world. So grateful for @potus’s bold action today to preserve the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. I mean – just look at those views!
Every year, I am amazed by the artwork submitted by talented young artists from across our community for the Congressional Art Competition. Proud of this year’s winners. I look forward to seeing their beautiful artwork in my offices in California and in the Capitol building.
Where did we come from? Are we alone in the universe? Space sciences, Mars Sample Return, Europa Clipper, and more are designed to help answer these questions. Don’t just take it from me. Here’s @BillNye:
The Communication Workers of America keep our communities connected. And they’re at the forefront of the fight to bridge the digital divide. To ensure no one is left behind in our new digital economy. Thanks for inviting me to join you this morning, @cwaunion!
From ambitious climate goals, to protecting access to reproductive care and so much more – California is leading the nation. That’s in large part thanks to the hard work of Senate President Pro Tempore Mike McGuire and the California State Senate. Grateful to meet with their delegation in DC today.

As we honor #AAPIHeritageMonth, we do so at a time when the AAPI community is facing unprecedented challenges. Grateful for the chance to meet with CA local and state leaders today to discuss these issues – and what we can do to make sure our communities are safe and supported.
Big things are happening in Long Beach! Grateful to @rexrichardsonlb and the city’s delegation for taking the time to discuss plans for the 2028 Olympics, zero-emission cargo handling at the Port, and more.
