This #EarthDay, our team of commitment-makers and problem-solvers are building more resilient communities in the face of global climate change. Here are a few Commitments to Action working to fight the climate crisis: 🌳 Paso Pacifico is restoring forests with intergenerational knowledge sharing by engaging two million farmers and thousands of young people to help remove 20 million tons of atmospheric carbon and support biodiversity. 👷♂️ Estuario is training 150 high school youth to engage in citizen science, acquiring skills and knowledge in coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove restoration and preservation, and ultimately planting 1,000 trees. 🍃 Department of the Interior is expanding the Indian Youth Service Corps program, which supports Tribal Nations in developing the next generation of environmental, conservation, and climate stewards. 🙋♀️ Daughters for Earth is raising $50 million for women protecting the Earth through supporting effective projects on the local level.
