Denis O’Hare Instagram – So much of the history of the city is found in its churches. Here in Malaga, the Moorish kingdom was very strong up until the late 15 century when the Christian kings of Spain expelled the Moors. I hate to even use the term Moors because it is so completely inaccurate and is mostly a convenient catch all term which in no way describes the diversity of the Muslim kingdoms. But alas, it is what we have come to use. Many of the Moorish buildings were destroyed and reused to build Spanish churches, while others were simply adapted.
