Guy Oseary Instagram – Meet Eden Golan @golaneden a 20-year-old singer competing in just a few hours at the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden. The last few days, Eden has faced numerous challenges:
1. A crowd of a thousand people protested her participation in Eurovision outside her hotel. It is unsafe for her to leave the hotel.
2. Due to threats against her life, 100 police officers were needed to escort her to the show.
3. Last year’s Eurovision runner-up from Finland, Käärijä, did a cute dance with Eden which was filmed and posted online. He later issued a public apology, and asked for it to be taken down.
4. Joost Klein, the Dutch contestant, displayed blatant disrespect by covering his face when Eden was asked a question by a journalist.
5. Marina Satti contestant from Greece feigned sleep during Eden’s interview, in an apparent act of disregard.
6. A Polish journalist provocatively blamed Eden for the heightened security risk at the event, questioning her presence: “By being here, you are a security risk and danger to everyone! Don’t you care?”
7. She was booed during her performance from some people in the audience.
What has Eden done to deserve all this hate???
The answer: she is a jew from Israel.

I would have written this post if Eden were Muslim and being discriminated this way at a music show. Music has been a positive force in my life. Music has no borders and is a way for people to come together. Music unites 🙏🏽
Amid the harrasment , threats and antisemitism.. Eden’s resilience shines. Her performance was applauded and she made it to the finals.
