H. Alan Scott Instagram – I’m thinking about this moment a lot today.
Listen, I don’t want to get into the politics of Donald Trump, because that’s not my thing. But for me, whenever something big happens related to Trump, I look to this moment on ‘The View’ from 2006 when Rosie O’Donnell criticized Trump for his treatment of a Miss USA contestant. This was way before he ran for president—he was even maybe a Democrat then?—but this was the moment when I first became aware of Trump and how controversial he could be. (Before that he was just the real estate guy on TV and maybe that dude from ‘Home Alone 2.’)
From this moment to now it’s been, well, WILD! A part of me is like, did Rosie know what was what? Another part of me is like, how did all this happen?! What a weird world we live in. So. Many. Questions!
Also, not for nothing, but Hillary Clinton was the guest on that very same episode. Like how?! What force in the universe made that day on ‘The View’ one of the most important days in U.S. history?
