From my earliest years, I grew up immersed in the works of Akira Toriyama. The adventures of Goku and his friends wove the backdrop of my life, becoming an integral part of my daily existence. Through Goku, I learned the value of self-improvement and the importance of perseverance, even in the darkest moments. His story showed me the beauty of life, the splendor of the simple things, and the importance of cherishing our planet. It inspired me to train, to fight to surpass my limits, to help and protect others, and to love not only my neighbor but also my adversaries.
It’s thanks to “Dragon Ball” that I ventured into martial arts and animation. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that without Akira Toriyama’s influence, “Miraculous” would not exist in its current form.
The news of his passing has left a vast emptiness in my heart. Yet, I choose to draw inspiration from his lessons to overcome my sadness and to share his values with the world.
Goku was my inspiration throughout my childhood. And you, Akira Toriyama, always so humble and discreet, it’s only now that I realize there was a father behind this hero. Thank you, dear sensei. My gratitude towards you is eternal.
