Ok so I will always appreciate any company that wants to make pets happy. Honestly a dog friendly airline is something I have been wanting to see for a very very long time. Most airlines have made it so insanely difficult and stressful to travel with pets now, leaving me with such little trust or options (and that’s with a small dog!). When @barkair was announced and I needed to get cross country with my dude George I truly was excited to try it. This isn’t an ad. I loved it. The dogs were all super chill and excited to hang with each other and be pals and the crew went above and beyond to make it fun and low stress for them. More of this great pet attitude at high altitude please! 🐶✈️

On the day of our first preview Tommy Kail said in one of his perfect pep talks that (paraphrasing) “as hard as it is to imagine today, one day this show will load out of here and our time in this space will be finished, so take it all in and enjoy each moment of growth within these walls”. Sweeney Todd at the Lunt did everything we could have hoped and dreamed and more. We grew and grew. In ourselves, in our performances, in our audiences, in our love for Sondheim and his work…we grew endlessly and will continue to because of what we all got to share in there. I love this cast and crew and staff beyond measure and I’m wishing them a beautiful final bow today. A new show will come and fill the space with hope and nerves and stories and tears and joy. And another and another. The world needs what theater gives us now more than ever, so give us more to see my friends. I ❤️ you forever.

After a thrilling year of total structure (which I very much thrive with) it’s a very odd feeling to not know what’s next. I have so much I wanna sing and do. But overwhelmed a bit about where to begin. How to focus through the sparks and the silence. This moment in time happens between every project. At least every one worth doing. But it’s never any less scary. No matter how much you do or feel you’ve accomplished, there are no short cuts through the what’s next of it all. Always look for the catch if you see one. Whatever the summer brings, I promise it’ll be from the heart and challenge me in new ways. Until then, time to touch grass. 📷: @nataliemcqueen
