Justin J. Pearson Instagram – I bowed in humble submission and gratitude to a champion of civil rights, a torch bearer for justice, and a freedom fighter who stayed on the battlefield every single day. It was an honor of my life to have received the Torch from Rev. James Lawson at the LA Fed this year. Oceana and I were indeed star struck. My heart hurts that he has transitioned from this life to life eternal but my soul is thankful that we got a chance to tell him THANK YOU! He was one of God’s best servants and I pray that I can continue his legacy in Memphis. The same fiery passion he had during the civil rights movement was on full display when he spoke and presented our award. Rev. Lawson, I thank you and pray that you’ll watch over us in our great cloud of witnesses! I’m also praying a special blessing over your entire family.
