Raisi, bekannt als der „Schlächter von Teheran“, half Ende der 1980er Jahre bei der Überwachung der Massenhinrichtung politischer Gefangener, nachdem Ayatollah Khomeini eine Fatwa erlassen hatte, die dies anordnete. Als Präsident überwachte er persönlich eine Verschärfung der Durchsetzung des Hijab-Gesetzes und einen erheblichen Anstieg der staatlichen Repression gegen das iranische Volk.
Ebenfalls haben 9 weitere Personen, darunter Außenminister Amir-Abdollahian, bei diesem Unfall ihr Leben verloren.

Raisi ,known as the “butcher of Tehran”, helped to oversee the mass execution of political prisoners in the late 1980s after Ayatollah Khomeini issued a Fatwa ordering it. As president he personally oversaw an escalation of enforcement of the hijab law and a significant increase in state repression against The people of Iran.
