MKHUZI the Spirit Racer: Concept Art (OGUN) The early stages of this project was really fun. Myself and @pandaexclamated really tried to synthesize our styles to come up with the characters. In designing the Aliens we wanted to lean into African masks and mythology. Ogun was the character I did the most crafting on, based on the nigerian god of Iron in yoruba culture. As one of if not the first tricker out in SA, it’s been so dope and humbling to see the levels the new gen is throwing out. I still very much love this sport even though I’m relegated to doing super basics every couple months. Tricking has given me so much , influenced my animation , strengthened mental fortitude and built character. Can’t wait to see what else the new blood does. Respect you fellas.
