A weekend at Joshua Tree ⛰️ This year I decided to celebrate my birthday in a different way. I was really craving peace and reflection this year. I usually celebrate with friends and family but I knew celebrating in a new would be worth it. My solo trip to Joshua Tree, CA served its purpose and here’s how: 1) I reflected on the past year. I mainly focused on documenting all that happened and then assigning meaning and life seasons from my experiences. 2) I thought about what isn’t clear in my life. Examples were what routine works best for me, what goals do I have for the year, etc. This allowed me to remove any anxious thoughts that have been holding me back. 3) I took time to be outside and embrace nature while relaxing. I personally struggle with feeling like I need to be doing something productive at every minute of the day. If I’m not, I start to feel less accomplished and less happy. I had some much needed chill time. If you haven’t taken an intentional solo trip, then I highly recommend it! Try to do some more reflecting and assessing your current state instead of only enjoying experiences to keep you busy while there. This is also something you could do at home but getting away allowed me to not have the typical distractions that come with being at home. 7 Days into the accountability project and I figured I’d share at the beginning of the journey instead of after it’s over 🤷🏾♂️. Here’s what I hope to accomplish after this 90 day project: 1) Increased self awareness 2) Gain more spiritual knowledge 3) Optimize health and fitness 4) Maximize my service to my fitness and life coaching clients 5) Improve money management skills 6) Establish a clear vision for the remainder of the year It may seem crazy to commit ourselves to this going into the summer, but sometimes you have to do “crazy” things to get crazy results!
