Flashback Friday to a picture of me with the amazing director @annettehaywoodcarter on the set of a little Indy film called FOXFIRE, based on a best selling novel by Joyce Carol Oates. It was my second film role I was ever cast in, and starred an unknown actress at the time named Angelina Jolie. Mali Finn one of the toughest casting directors at the time cast me in the role. She was a legend. Trivia question: Anyone know the name of my first film role I was in? It was written and directed by the incredibly talented Rebecca Miller, daughter of Arthur Miller and current wife to Daniel Day Lewis and premiered at The Sundance Film Festival. Very honored that my career was launched by such powerful female directors and casting directors. Years later I would be cast by and directed by another tour de force female director- the amazing @catherinehardwicke in a little film called #Twilight and Stephanie Meyer who wrote the books. I grew up In a household of strong women. Surrounded by 3 sisters, my mother and my grandmother. As Mothers Day approaches I want to acknowledge and send thanks to all the strong women out there who have given birth. Not only those who give birth to their children, and raise them selflessly giving tirelessly of themselves day after day, but also those that give birth to their creative ideas, and fearlessly climb mountains to achieve their dreams. Happy Mothers Day

I had the honor of being interviewed by Sam Rubin many times in my career. From Red carpet interviews to in studio to our latest over Zoom just a few months ago. He was a consummate professional. -Charming, charismatic, quick witted. You could tell he loved movies and he loved his job. He always asked About my family because he himself is a family man and loved his own. I always looked forward to seeing him and he always put a smile on my face. Today he passed away. I am heart broken. My heart goes out to his family, his @ktla5news family, his fans, and every celebrity that was lucky enough to meet him. This is a photo from our last interview. The look on his face shows him engaged at what he is asking me. And mine is of delight at the pleasure of conversing with him. Rest in Peace Sam. I hope to see you at the gold carpet of the Pearly gates when it’s my time. Til we meet again ❤️
