Peter Facinelli Instagram – Flashback Friday to a picture of me with the amazing director @annettehaywoodcarter on the set of a little Indy film called FOXFIRE, based on a best selling novel by Joyce Carol Oates. It was my second film role I was ever cast in, and starred an unknown actress at the time named Angelina Jolie. Mali Finn one of the toughest casting directors at the time cast me in the role. She was a legend.
Trivia question: Anyone know the name of my first film role I was in? It was written and directed by the incredibly talented Rebecca Miller, daughter of Arthur Miller and current wife to Daniel Day Lewis and premiered at The Sundance Film Festival.
Very honored that my career was launched by such powerful female directors and casting directors. Years later I would be cast by and directed by another tour de force female director- the amazing @catherinehardwicke in a little film called #Twilight and Stephanie Meyer who wrote the books.
I grew up In a household of strong women. Surrounded by 3 sisters, my mother and my grandmother. As Mothers Day approaches I want to acknowledge and send thanks to all the strong women out there who have given birth. Not only those who give birth to their children, and raise them selflessly giving tirelessly of themselves day after day, but also those that give birth to their creative ideas, and fearlessly climb mountains to achieve their dreams.
