Todd Kerns Instagram – SMKC on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon 2012. This was a trip. It had been a dream of mine to get to do something/anything at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Saturday Night Live, Late Night with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien had all been shot there plus a lot more. Keep in mind we had only just completed the We’re All Gonna Die Tour 2010/2011 when it had been proposed to record an album with the lineup assembled to support Slash’s 2010 solo album. The proposed album went on to be Apocalyptic Love. We grabbed a young kid named Frank Sidoris and went to New York to celebrate the release of the album and found ourselves on Jimmy Fallon’s stage. Not long after Jimmy would move on to host the Tonight Show. I remember Quest Love had us sign some drumsticks. I was like, “Quest wants me to sign these?” I assumed he meant Slash but he had us all sign. I’m such a fan of Quest Love and the Roots. Wild times. Now it’s 12 years later and a new album is being cooked up. Life is truly like a box of chocolates. I heard that somewhere… Have yourself an amazing little Wednesday.
