Nice to be back on set filming. For some reason it seems really hard for me to post more than once in a blue moon. I need to improve and I guess the way to do that is to start by taking more pictures which is something I just don’t make a priority. Maybe I should have a person running my social media and forcing me to put more stuff out there but I feel that isn’t authentic so I haven’t done it. Question for my everyone: What do you think the biggest issues are in the Veteran community. You could answer with collective issues of the community or individuals issues that the community as a whole is struggling with. As I am getting ready to release my book and start talking daily about these issues I want to get feedback and everyones personal perspective not just talk about my own. So sad to be posting these two mens faces for the reason I am. I will not post my thoughts on the mission nor circumstances as that is not important. What is important is that these two men sacrificed themselves, one for a mission and one for a teammate. My condolences to their families and rest in peace to these two warriors.

Rolling with Bravo 1. It’s been a crazy ride on this show. No one thought it would go more than a season or two but here we are closing it out on Season 7. Been a great cast and crew to work with these many years and I will absolutely miss the people I worked with during this time. That being said when I am wrapped filming I will be devoting 100% of my time to pushing the message of my book which is to help veterans help themselves and then help others. If there is anything I know at this point it’s this: Pursue your passion. If you do that you cannot fail. Everyone have a great weekend and never pass up an opportunity to spend time with those you care about.

Came across this old photo of me trying to look hard most likely to try and impress a girl or girls. I believe this was Yakima in 2002 which was 2nd Ranger Batts train up to our first deployment to Afghanistan. I was a sniper team leader at this time which was a blast. I had a kid ask me last week about advice in joining and it’s a strange experience as i was once there so i get his enthusiasm but where I am now I see everything completely differently. Question for vets: how do you feel when young people ask your advice on joining the military? Am I the only one who feels conflicted? I want to help them but I also don’t want to act like it’s not going to have a cost and take a toll. Comment your thoughts below I would love to get others perspectives.
Been almost 7 years working on SEAL Team and its been a great ride. From now till the end of the show I am going to start to post pictures of the great people I work with in no particular order. This guy needs no introduction but what most of you may not know is that in the beginning of the show, CBS mistook me for AJ and used pictures of me for when AJ came out on stage! It’s been great working with you brother looking forward to the next time to shine!!

If you are reading this and you struggle with anything but especially YOURSELF, that was me for my whole life. Trust me when I say you can change that because I did. It took this amazing woman believing in me which made me start believing in myself. If you are reading this and want to change believe you can because I did once I FINALLY believed in me. It sounds so simple and quite frankly new age hippy-ish which is the reason I ran from this way of thinking for many years. I believe in you because I was and still am you. We are fighters trying to do and be better and that in itself is why you/we deserve it. You really can do it, trust me trust yourself. Thank you @cristiane_ferreira_fit you are my heart.

So I am officially announcing my upcoming book as well as my collaboration with this awesome person to my left. @laurenungeldi is an absolute intellectual animal and a beast of a writer. I have been working on this book about 15 years and could never really find someone that “got it”. She not only gets it but takes it to another level. Lauren thank you so much for joining me on this, it is the first but unquestionably it won’t be the last! @cristiane_ferreira_fit thank you so much for your unwavering support during this process and more importantly thank you for believing in me as that is what caused me to start believing in myself! You mean the absolute world to me. I’ll start teasing more of the content in upcoming posts but in short I believe beyond strongly in it’s message and I have absolute ZERO doubt it is going to resonate not just with a lot of people but create unity between those it speaks to. Sounds lofty yes, but that is how strongly I believe in this message. Thanks so much for your support there are many many things that will be in this that have come from interactions on this very platform so I’m very excited for everyone to see it!

I had a great to birthday thanks to many special people but most importantly to @cristiane_ferreira_fit ! Thank you so much for making my day special. Also thanks to @justinmelnick for allowing us to come stay with you and enjoy a great group of people! Also thanks to @swanloon who made us an awesome cake and worked so hard to make it a great time for everyone! Also of note: This is literally the first birthday that I haven’t drank or taken drugs (prescription) for probably…well most likely since I got injured. If you are struggling with addiction ANY addiction you can overcome it, you just have to feel you deserve to quit it. Life is amazing when you allow yourself to deserve good things. Thanks to any and everyone who wished me a happy birthday I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
I never use a filter this is just how good the sunset was on this day! I am very excited about this year so many great things around the corner so there is a lot to smile about! Prior to 2019 you would be hard pressed to find a picture of me smiling. I used to look at the world differently and more importantly I looked at myself differently. I was wrong about so many things for so long and now, I couldn’t be happier about that. Now I don’t care about being “right” I just care about my peace which leads to my happiness. Don’t let others invade your mind as that is giving them power over you. Whatever people say: “Great, have a good one”. It took me a long time to understand this but now I understand the value of it. Going to the movies Christmas Day has been a tradition for me and this year we went to “Godzilla Minus One” (Last year was Avatar). If you are a Veteran, still in the Military, LEO/First Responder: GO SEE THIS MOVIE IMMEDIATELY!! It has some truly great moments about what it means to serve and the struggle we all face with ourselves. Yes I know it’s a Godzilla film, but these filmmakers did the opposite of Hollywood and actually set the CGI monster destruction part as a backdrop focusing on a redemption story with some STRONG characters. After 5 minutes you will completely forget it’s in subtitles. Just trust me on this it is GREAT. Also of note it takes place at the very end of WWII so make no mistake it really is a war movie with a monster mixed in. Oh and lastly the PJs were my idea, I love corny couples stuff! @cristiane_ferreira_fit @fitqueensantos
