Walker Hayes Instagram – Trick shot day 366 ❤️I challenge everyone to do something with their family everyday for one year.  What you will learn about each other and about yourselves is unreal.  It will be all the things.  Every emotion between utterly exhausted with frustration and exploding with joy will be experienced together.  I didn’t have a clue what I was dragging my family into with these.  I am beyond grateful for their patience and participation.  There are many nights where one individual in the family put us on their shoulders and carried us all.  These trick shots turned out to be a wonderful metaphor for life.  Especially my favorite things in life.  Marriage, raising kids, chasing impossible dreams, etc.  As I spoke to @nancy_kruh about this adventure, she asked me if they were fun and I honestly can’t say they were!!!😂😂😂 There were obviously “fun” moments within the journey but I wouldn’t describe the experience as “fun”.  It was just “life.”  I really believe the most beautiful things in life…community, relationships, dreams, all the amazing things are the most difficult.  They’re not fun.  They can be at times but they’re a challenge.  They all require an insane amount of grit, mercy, forgiveness and faith that makes you look foolish to those around you.  @nancy_kruh thank you for helping me come to conclude that “life is a trick a shot.”  Big shout to the @hulett_brothers for bringing it home with us.  Big shout to Laney for loving a porcupine like me and listening to ping pong balls bounce around the house for a solid year.  Big shout to the kiddos for teaching me more than I could ever teach them.  Big shout to everyone watching along with us🦆🦌 Let’s gooooooo!  We did It! | Posted on 28/May/2024 04:30:17
