Reflecting on the value of existence seen as less than that of animals by a nation reminds of ultimate loyalty to the Creator. Despite anger and questions, the Seerah teaches that this dunya is often filled with hatred and evil. If they could hate the Prophet ﷺ, the purest human being, it’s no surprise others face similar challenges. Finding comfort in knowing that hatred once targeted someone far better strengthens faith and resolves to stay on the right side of history.
Islam is a religion of modesty #yasirqadhi #islam #muslim
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. May Allah grant Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaiba Jannah al-Firdaws and comfort his family. His lineage ties back to the esteemed Sahabi, Uthman ibn Talha (RA), and his family’s story has a rich legacy etched into the annals of Islamic history. Access to the Kaaba has always been controlled by a designated keyholder, a role passed down from one individual to another. During the conquest of Makkah, the key to the kabaa was forcibly taken from Uthman ibn Talha (R.A.), Yet, when the Prophet Muhammad (saws) entered the Kaaba, a divine command was revealed inside the Kaaba itself: *’Indeed, Allah commands you to return trusts to their rightful owners…’* (Quran 4:58). This incident cemented the sublime moral fiber of the Prophet (saws) and is a testament to the truth of Islam. At arguably the biggest triumph of the early Muslims against their biggest enemies the Quraish, the Prophet is reminded that even the Key to the Kabaa cannot be unjustly taken. When Uthman ibn Talha heard that he was commanded to keep the key, he loudly proclaimed the shahadah. The Prophet’s assurance that Uthman’s family would forever hold the keys has stood the test of time, symbolizing an unbroken chain to the time of the Prophet. As we reflect on Sheikh Saleh’s legacy, we are reminded of the enduring virtues of trust and righteousness of Islam that bind us across generations

Real leaders represent their people. They engage with their communities and actively listen to their concerns, regardless of the status of the individual. This past weekend, Dr. Yasir Qadhi had the immense honor and privilege of meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim for lunch and Jummah prayer. Every Friday, Prime Minister Anwar makes it a point to eat at a local place and attend a different mosque, demonstrating a dedication to staying connected with his constituents. Despite the busy schedule, the Prime Minister continuously showed his passion for Islam through his conversations about Palestine and his concerns about the Malaysian people. While of course it is natural to disagree with some policies even of those politicians one admires, the dedication to open dialogue is something all Muslim leaders can learn from. May we see more leaders embodying his spirit and leadership.

Is there a secrete formula for dua?
While the world chases fleeting pleasures, our beloved Prophet ﷺ embraced humility, teaching us that true provision lies in the Hereafter. Let us reflect on the profound simplicity and sacrifice in the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

‼️Join us on Friday for Jum’ah on the Oval‼️ Come out to the south oval of The Ohio State University for Jum’ah with Shaikh Dr Yasir Qadhi! In light of the recent distressing events on our campus, where our students, faculty, alumni, and community members were aggressively disrupted while peacefully praying on the oval, we stand together in solidarity to reclaim our campus and affirm our right to practice our faith without fear. This event will feature a Khutbah led by Dr. Yasir Qadhi. Let us come together as a community to heal from the wounds inflicted upon us and on our civil rights. Please join us as we reclaim our space, and offer prayers for those experiencing injustice. 🗣️Share widely and invite everyone you know to come to pray together! Please bring your own rug/prayer mat! The event organizers are planning for a safe and family friendly event. This is a religious event and is permitted in Ohio. There will be no protests at this event.

We know there are readers of the sīrah all around the world – Allahu Akbar! What country are you reading from?
People often ask me how Shaykh Yasir’s famous sīrah series was transcribed into a book. The short answer is that it’s not a transcription. We pretty much invented a service, and we call it an adaptation. The truth is that written prowess is so different to spoken eloquence that it is a completely different package – while retaining the same meaning. While lectures are always contextual and are tailored towards the listeners at the time, the goal was to make the book timeless. And that’s exactly what we did. Alḥamdulillāh.
