Mustang is a remote semi-independent Tibetan Kingdom north of the Annapurna Mountain and Dhaulagiri Mountains. It was only opened to westerners in 1992. That’s why it is known as the forbidden kingdom of Nepal. It once served as an important route for crossing the Himalaya between Tibet and Nepal.
You would barely see anyone here visitors here. It’s one of those untouched bucket list places you must visit. However planning a trip to Lo Manthang and the border isn’t easy. You need 2 permits and a guide. @encampadventures and @dalbhatpoweradventures helped me with the same.
