I’m going to be in conversation with @afuahirsch (award winning writer, journalist, social commentator, former barrister and filmmmaker). To keep you on your toes for our conversation to come, here’s a teaser throwing it back a few months to when Afua and I were invited onto @andioliver and @miquitaoliver incredible podcast (‘Stirring It Up’) where we chatted and laughed hard over an incredible meal Andi cheffed up in their family home. I love this clip of Afua describing the challenges of juggling being a working mother in a demanding (and at times life threatening) role, identity as a Black African mixed race woman and structural racism within the media that drives what and how she writes about as a journalist.
