Annabeth Gish Instagram – Two decades ago today, we stood on the rugged and wild cliff-edge of the Sea Ranch Lodge to get married. The sky was exquisitely blue, the temperature a typical Northern Cali October brisk. Friends and family surrounded us, and we said things no one else could hear because the wind carried them out to the sea. Then we had the best party we’ve (still!) ever been to—though how is it our wonderful sons weren’t there!?! Twenty years later, to return and stand on the same ground is humbling. The elements have not changed in their persistence. The barn is more weathered, the coastline more ocean-carved, and windswept. Lol, so are we. Life works hard on us all.
