Filters are so fun, and retouching is like sprinkles on your breakfast toast – just… yummy. I used @tezza here. They’re like getting great light for a scene, fresh paint for artwork, or having your favorite makeup artist glam you up in the click of a few buttons. As someone who loves change (according to my husband maybe a little too much) I love getting to play with color palettes and displays in every area of our home, including our images. I love a good coordination of colors on the insta, but let’s be real, seeing the raw bits is so important to remind us that sprinkles are a treat, yes, fun, undoubtedly.. not the main course 😉 Our raw selves tell awesome and intricate stories that sprinkles inevitably cover up. IE. The raw image of me here tells me the story of being rushed to throw on used lashes because I have a 5 month old lol hence the leftover glue 😂 It tells me the story of co-creating my daughter’s life in the new little dark spots on my cheeks. It tells me I have loads of freckles – which makes me think of my mom telling me each one is an angel’s kiss growing up. UH such beautiful little things. I feel swoony just writing about them. Anyhoo. Have fun with the sprinkles, just don’t forget fake sugar in loads may cause ulcers, lead to serious heart problems, and run the risk of trying to erase glorious parts of your larger story xo okie doke.
