Baby’s first day on a big set!! Mom & dad’s first booked role as “Expecting Parents!” 😭 🙌🏻 I’m overwhelmed with praising God for the yeses I could never control. I was reminded three days ago that God is enthroned in our praises, meaning we’re encouraged to enthrone him through praise to release his miraculous provision. I don’t know a lot, but I know the very real life effects I’ve seen personally that come from praising God on the mountaintop, and also in the desolate valleys of our lives. Praise, in one form, is merely recognition expressed verbally or physically. If it’s been awhile since you recognized and verbally expressed something, anything, you’ve seen or experienced God do in your life, heart, mind, home, family, work, or arena of existence, do so. The next day, do so again. The fruit may be unseen before it is seen, but seeds of praise bear fruit. Of this, I am certain. ✨

This Christmas, you are my literal knight in shining armor. You keep joy and light alive in our home when I’m struggling to keep my sanity. You hold my hair and rub my back when I’m sick and can barley function. Your kindness is ever present and your lingering kiss still makes me feel like a teenager on her first date with the hottest guy in school. Our baby is God’s first, but they’ll know no better daddy on earth than you. Thank you for making me a wife, now a mommy, and for always being my best friend, confidant, personal comedian, and safe place. If God wouldn’t have helped me turn my heart back on 7 years ago, I don’t know where I would be. Probably still in an endless cycle of short lived and highly dysfunctional patterns, habits, and relationships. Today, if you’re reading this and still longing and searching not just for a partner, but also for a real sense of love and self, whether you believe in Jesus or not, run the risk of having nothing to lose and everything to gain, and ask him to help you turn your heart back on too. Whoever you are, I’m blessing you intensely with the divine breakthrough he showed me beginning seven years ago when I asked for his help. Two months ago, we had yet to meet our baby girl. We had no idea how she would arrive, or in which way she’d make her grand and unforgettable entrance. We had no idea what her first cry would sound like, or how it would bring us to tears of relief in every way a person can feel it. We had no idea how beautiful her tiny hands would be, or how big her hilarious little tuft of jack-jack hair would make us smile. We didn’t know that her toes would look like baby cheese puffs, or that her eyes and perfect face would reflect the absolute likeness of her daddy and beautiful Nana. Rozlo is two months old, and all the things we had no idea about have quickly become a highlight reel for our family. Here’s to looking back fondly on the path we walked to get here. Half the time we barely knew where we were stepping, but God’s crazy grace, love, and guidance brought us the most precious little girl we could’ve ever dreamed of. It’s a very grateful kind of moment 🤎 Thank you @katemoorephoto for capturing these precious moments!!! You are brilliant, generous, and were a breath of fresh air amidst a very emotional time.
