“Yesterday I tore myself apart trying on bathing suits. I looked at my body in the mirror and was disgusted. I had never really heard women talk about their body and the changes it went through during pregnancy and I found myself sad that I was so disappointed in my appearance.
Why does it matter? YOU’RE PREGNANT. YOU should be happy. You’ve fought so long and hard for this. So many other women are still walking the hard road that is infertility and here you are complaining about your body changing? What did you think was going to happen? Duh you’re getting fat and have cellulite and your boobs & armpits are now one.
This morning I received a message from a sweet friend that said “girl the devil is trying to keep you from enjoying this pregnancy with all that negative talk about your body and hormones”. She was right. All those
negative thoughts were lies straight from the devil.
He stole YEARS and YEARS of joy from me.
Took my hope with every heart breaking negative test, had me shaming my body then because it wouldn’t do what it was meant to do, and I will be DAMNED if he takes another ounce of happiness & joy from me surrounding this pregnancy. Dang right I fought hard for this. Dang right my boobs and armpits are now one. Dang right I have cellulite. Dang right my God is bigger than you and fulfilled his promise to make me a mama.
From broken to beautiful. I just needed to walk back through every heartbreaking negative to understand that my body is doing exactly what it needs to. It’s creating the most precious little boys life and THAT is a miracle story.” | Posted on 02/Jun/2024 01:11:24
