For Chris Huvane. I’ve had a really hard time with the idea of how to articulate the tremendous sadness I’ve felt at the loss of this stellar human being. And grappling with what deep pain he was in. Even while being surrounded by so much love. Because Chris touched so many, I know this feeling is shared by many.
I first met Chris when we were both not even 20. The Huvane family welcomed me and made a safe haven for me as a young person on my own in Hollywood. I had some of the most fun, beautiful family-centric Thanksgivings I’ve ever had. They probably don’t even know the sustaining gift they gave me. But it’s just who they are; a family with integrity and an intrinsically magnanimous nature.
Chris effortlessly embodied that magnitude. It was so cool to see him at home in whatever he did. A publicist, an actor, and manager. Each venture, again embodied with grace and integrity. And always with a welcoming heart. Even when we hadn’t seen each other for months, it felt like no time had passed. ❤️
Today I decided to write about him because I finally feel like I can. I celebrate your rad and contagious spirit today, Chris. I send ALL love and support to your family whom I love so deeply. And to those whose lives you touched that miss you dearly. Fly ✨♥️ #chrishuvane
