“Carly remembered being home with a high fever as an eight-year-old child and seeing tiny pandas crawling up and down the walls of the bedroom. “My darling,” Andrea Simon told her in her lilting, actressy voice, “you have such an imagination!” It was the first time Carly had ever heard the word.”
Article from @vanityfair August of 1995.

Martha’s Vineyard is an island off the coast of Massachusetts known around the world as a beautiful destination that’s attracts celebrities like Sylvester Stallone to Oprah Winfrey and world leaders including President Obama and President Clinton plus millions of families and travelers seeking a summer getaway!
The island’s natural beauty, relaxed atmosphere, and secluded location make it a perfect getaway spot for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood life.
On land, you might spot white-tailed deer, Eastern cottontail rabbits, gray squirrels, chipmunks, and a variety of birds, such as ospreys, and wild turkeys. There is also a good chance to see various types of snakes, including garter snakes and the rare and beautiful Eastern hognose snake.
When it comes to aquatic life, the island’s waters provide a habitat for both resident and migratory species. Harbor seals, gray seals, and Atlantic bottlenose dolphins can be seen offshore, while the inshore waters provide a habitat for striped bass, bluefish, flounder, and many other types of fish. You also might spot starfish, crabs, and different kinds of shellfish like clams and oysters along the beaches.
Martha’s Vineyard is a great place to encounter a variety of wildlife, and there are many opportunities to appreciate and learn about the natural world on the island.
Carly had a very special relationship with Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman, and the results of that produced three classic albums of the singer-songwriter era. With this new collection, Jac curates a selection of tracks from that time to illustrate their story and working relationship. Carly and Jac explore their memories further in the liner notes, which are the result of a conversation moderated and edited by academic Ted Olson.
This musical scrapbook of a very special time, and is available to pre-order now. LINK IN BIO! You can also hear the first track from the record, Carly’s take on “Angel From Montgomery” available for streaming or download now!
