Carol Alt Instagram – So, if anybody thought that reconstruction or renovations were easy… Or that it’s going to be easy for them… (Like I did: I thought it was just going be easy for me-I’m used to change!!)
Let me tell you that nothing ever goes as predicted. I kicked a sink so many times that I have bruises on my legs that I can’t even cover anymore; Coughing from the dust; And so much cat food in my bathroom that it smells bad all the time!!!
Oh, and since JoJo wasn’t feeling well, I didn’t want to move her into an unfamiliar environment. So we all stayed locked in my bedroom for five weeks… I’m ready to spread my wings… What do you do when you want to spread your wings?
Carol Alt Instagram – Corn always brings good memories… I remember when I was dating my husband and we had just bought some corn from a farmstand on Long Island. And I was thinking “how do I ask him to stop by my parents house so I can give them some corn too?”
And just as I was thinking that my boyfriend turned to me and said “would you like to see your father and give him some corn?”
I looked at him and burst out laughing… I said that was just thinking the same thing!

That’s when you know someone is a keeper.
And of course I’ve made mistakes in my life but you can’t look back and regret. I wouldn’t trade the years of my marriage for anything.

Being married or having a significant other, kept me grounded. It kept me on the street and narrow. But also because he was on the road all the time with the team (professional hockey player) that gave me the freedom to do my work and not feel guilty that I wasn’t Susie homemaker at home.

In fact, I make more recipes now than I ever did, when I was married!😂😂

Think sometimes in life we feel guilty. So eating this piece of corn at the top of this recipe video always brought back. Happy memories.
What small and insignificant things bring happy memories for you?
