The most joy to watch my love take the stage in Melbourne tonight, I could see the thoughts going through his head during the bows. ‘I’m home’. And it meant so many different things all at once. I’m so proud. @monicapmakeup literally brought me back from the death of a child up all night with croup. And @anna__fay saved the day when my dress didn’t arrive in time. As always @wheelsy49 stayed with Duke and cared for his sick little cough so I could come out and cheer the house down. 👏🏻 🕯️

Doing any show for 15 years is a gift. Or, a miracle, really. For this show to remain relevant is a testament to so many people. To @deanjbryant for writing a script that was literally years ahead of its time. @mattyfrank for making all those amazing arrangements and playing the perfect sidekick to Brit. To @lisacampbellcasting and @richard_carroll who produced this show and believed in it always. To the amazing company @gwbentertainment who took us to London. To the incredible audiences who have continued to come and watch and support it. To Ms Spears herself who had to actually LIVE the story we tell. So much has changed for me since I first performed this show in my 20’s. The show and I have grown together. It’s been a constant in my career. I had a very strange, strong feeling as I performed it last week- ‘wow, this might be it’. And it wasn’t just because the dress I have always worn in the show started to literally tear at the seams. I don’t want to do a Farnsy and say we are retiring the show, just that- you never know. And I will always be so grateful to the show, the people, the audiences. He was sent to teach me, to heal me, to show me the truest meaning of unconditional love. I have never known such pride, protection, and hope for a beautiful life for another soul. Duke is a healer. In many ways, to many people. He is the love of our lives. 🩷
