Claire Keane Instagram – Yesterday I visited my friend @louisthomas___ at his beautiful loft in Montmartre.
His work is full of aesthetic charm and his process is the kind that requires the greatest of skills, simplicity. When you swipe through you will see some of his book Le Livre de Tout that he made directly in a sketchbook without any pre sketching or post photoshop touch ups. (The second picture is of the printed book on the left and the original sketchbook on the right 😵😵) He also works this way for his large commission portraits which are done in person within a few hours only and directly on the canvas without a sketch. As someone who is constantly changing her mind about composition or redrawing my sketches over and over, throwing things out until the last minute, I am blown away by the amount of mastery and discipline this way of working takes.
