You know… Lots of folks say they wanna be actors but you better be ready to put in the work. It takes lots of pre-game preparation. When that Director says ACTION, you better be ready to go verbally AND emotionally. You don’t show up on set and miraculously know your lines but when your foundation is Tyler Perry acting school 2 rarely 3 takes & you’re movin on boo! Best training you can get & being under pressure is an afterthought. Hit the ground running, confident you did the damn thang 🔥
Now when you’re Lead actor, it goes far beyond prep. A huge part of your job is setting a positive tone. When you show up, folks are happy to see you, more relaxed, rejuvenated, ready to play & create. Long days & nights no matter how many tons of scenes are on that call-sheet, you show up with a smile on your face & make sure folks in front of camera and behind trust you. Make sure they’re vested & feel their time, effort is worth it. In these Indies, you’ve got 13-15 days to put an entire film in the can but when those credits role, everyone’s proud to say… I part of somethin Great 🏆
