I’m thinking of my late parents Mary and Elaijah Isaac who would have been so impressed, and would have been celebrating in the most humble way at the Salluit post office.
I’m also thinking of my late biological qallunaaq father George Pinkston who, every Christmas, would send a gift through the post office, from Brigus, Newfoundland, making me feel so special. And my puukuluk Eva who always reminded me to stand strong when I didn’t feel so confident. Last but not least, I think of my qataapik my big cousin the late Alaku Papigatuk Abraham, who was madame post office in Salluit. How proud is she right now of her qataapik, her little cousin. I could just see your face. ❤️
