Did a flip with an old shirt again! I thought this project would take a few hours, but for some reason I it took wayyyy longer, days actually…I gave up and started again a few times. Mainly because I kept doubting myself. But then I finally got out of my own head, just put my head down and did the work, in the end I at least have a sense of accomplishment and more experience… also a new top! This is a reminder to myself and anyone else this relates to, that when something feels overwhelming, to just break the big thing down to small pieces and take one step at a time, then do the next step, and the next step💖. Do you like the before or after?

My greatest past love has come back into my life!… it’s actually my sewing machine 😎! When I was in high school, I was known as “the girl who makes all her clothes”, I made prom dresses, Halloween costumes, ANYTHING, even a Mexican wrestling mask once! Sewing was my happy place, a way to connect with friends, and my tool turn fashion dreams into my own reality.
Life takes us in different directions, whether it’s work, family or anything else, and sometimes, we lose touch of things that bring us joy.

Sometimes old t-shirts just offer a different kind of comfort😎 This is one of the shirts .. and now it belongs to me😈… you guys ever have some clothes that you don’t really wear or are kind of attached to? Now I can presentably wear this one out👾. I think sometimes when you start a project and no one really knows what you’re trying to do or get what you “vision” yet, it can feel quite vulnerable. I usually sew in private and my mistakes are mine to own, and no one really sees them, cuz if I do t like the final product, I just don’t wear it😜! This time my in-laws were visiting HK and we were all just hanging out at home. It was nice to share a little bit of my favorite hobby with them, this “stolen” shirt was approved in the end🤣!
