Ellie Holcomb Instagram – So….I’m pretty bad at math and details , but it’s good news, b/c my record is now gonna actually be out in FOUR more days 🤣 Today is Monday, then there’s Tues, We’d, Thurs, and it is OUT on Friday!! So even less of a wait until my new Psalms record , All of My Days, is out in the wild ! Can’t wait , y’all. It’s been a long time coming …aka …y’all have been asking me to make this record ever since I started posting Memory Monday’s, so here it comes , just for YOU! All of My Days, for all of your days…..starting THIS FRIDAY! ✨✨✨
Ellie Holcomb Instagram – Do y’all know that anxious feeling that creeps in on days you feel overwhelmed? It makes your chest feel tight, and it feels harder to simply just take one deep breathe? I was filling out our calendars for the rest of the spring this morning…and MAY ALONE is enough to send me over the edge with stress. Trying to coordinate all the end of the year performances, games, school celebrations, with work and touring and childcare is no small thing for me. I want to be present with my kids, and I also want to be present with my work, and I end up feeling present NO WHERE. I do not possess the wonderful skill of organization and planning. I can do it, but it is exhausting. I wrote down a list of everything I needed to do just for today, and immediately felt that tightness in my chest. When I got to the “to do” of posting a memory monday verse for today, I landed on Psalm 103, and I’m tearing up now writing about it. As I took a deep breath and started singing these promises of God over my anxious heart, I noticed that my shoulders sank down. I was able to take a deep breath and remember that I never face any anxious moment or season alone. God is merciful, loving, powerful, and LOVE is in the business of pulling us out of pits and placing a crown of compassion on our heads. During a moment of real stress today, God’s word brought me back home to peace, to the steady current of Love that is with me and that carries me even in my most unstable moments. I’m amazed how this continues to happen for me. I was going to start off by telling you that Psalm 103 is one of the songs that I put on my Psalms EP, All of My Days, that comes out THIS FRIDAY, but instead, God decided to let His word remind me , once again, that it is a balm, and a shelter ,and a light for me. I pray these songs will be a safe place for you to go and listen to Peace call you back home. I pray they would meet you in every anxious, dark, lonely corner of your life, and that they would shine light and love into those places, reminding you to never forget God’s steady love. #memorymondays #fightingwords #scripture #bibleverses #verseoftheday #inspiration #devotional #ellieholcomb
